All of the proceeds from these sales will go towards Mars's medical expenses.

The circumstances leading up to this are that my poor lil' corgi (his name is Mars) is in severe distress, and it's already starting a unhealthy pile of medical bills. Mars is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi I adopted when he was 2, and at the time I was his 4th home. He was a unruly, undisciplined puppy (and his name was Dinky), so he got passed around from home to home until I found his owner putting him up for adoption (or else he would end up in a shelter). Being raised in a military family, Dinky was given a new machismo name (can't get much more macho than a God of war) and given more discipline than he's ever had. It was a bit hard establishing who was the alpha, but after we did, everything was just dreamy. ^_^

He had a really rough evening when he started crying, wailing and lost control of his hind limbs--which prompted us to take him to a pet ER, get him shot up with morphine and drag him an hour away to Denver to the VRCC. Sure enough, he had ruptured a disc in his back and they had to do emergency surgery to fix things--otherwise he would not be able to use his back legs again. The recovery took awhile, but he's getting along much better and he's back to being the happy corgi he's always been. The only lingering sign of the whole ordeal is the large shaved patch on his back, but maybe in a few more months, I'll be able to take him out without sunscreen. X-D
